摘　　要：教育现代化的基本功能不外乎促进社会的发展与人的发展,只是在历史的不同阶段侧重点有所不同。我国当前的教育发展进程决定了要更加关注"人的现代化"问题,重视现代人在现代教育中的目的和前提意义,并要求教育现代化的发展始终要关切人的需要,真正能够做到"让人成为最好的自己"。孙刚成先生的新作《教育让人成为最好的自己》很好地诠释了这一主题,并立足现代人的培养提出了教育现代化的必然路径。The basic function of education modernization is to promote the development of society and humanity. But the focus is different in different stages. In the current education development process in China,it should pay more attention to the problem of ＂people＇ s modernization＂. The development of education modernization stresses on the needs of people. Education Makes People Better,written by Dr. SUN Gang-cheng,proposes the necessary process of education modernization according to modern education of people.
