摘 要:1882~1982年一百年间,麻省理工学院电机工程与计算机科学(简称MIT电机系)这一学科组织所经历的诞生和发展过程,体现了从知识前沿发展到成形学科组织的一般路径和关键要素,对当前我国高等教育强化学科建设极具启示意义。The development history of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Department of MIT can be divided into five different stages from 1882 to 1982. the birth of the new discipline, standardization of the discipline, large-scale cooperation with the government during World War II, the formation of interdisciplinary research model and educational reflection after the war, and knowledge differentiation and integration of in the information era. Seen from the perspective of knowledge innovation and per- sonnel training, several key characteristics exists in every stage of its development. The development process and key factors also reflect those of the transformation from frontier knowledge to a discipline, which offer enlightenment for the discipline construction of higher education of China, of which several are of great importance, integrating scientific research and engineering practice into teaching, maintaining close relationship with external environment.
