摘　　要：对自建的"亨利·詹姆斯小说语料库"和"19世纪美国小说语料库"进行比较后提取关键词和五词关键词丛,数据分析发现詹姆斯比美国同时期的其他作家更擅长运用言语行为动词、心理动词、强化词、"似乎"词丛、"身体部位"词丛、"言语"词丛、"否定"词丛以及"It/There"引导的词丛来对人物和事件进行刻画与描述。This paper extracts the keywords and 5-word key clusters from two corpora including fiction texts by Henry James and nineteenth-century American writers respectively after comparing them. It shows that James James is more adept at using verbal action verbs, mental verbs, reinforcement words, ＂seem＂ words, ＂body parts＂, ＂speech＂, ＂negatives＂ and ＂It / There＂clusters to describe and portray the characters and events than other American writers of the same period.
