摘 要:英语二语学习者语言产出中经常出现be过度生成现象,有的研究者将be看成动词形态变化的替代性标记,另外一些研究者则将其中部分含非宾格动词的变异结构看成过度被动化错误。本文分析了中国近5200名大学英语一年级学习者的写作材料,同时对162名来自同一阶段的学习者实施了语法判断测试。作文分析结果发现,be的过度生成不是过度被动化的结果,也不是代替主动词标记形态变化,而是受主动词情状体特征的影响,多表现为状态动词或达成动词与be共现,语法判断测试的结果进一步支持了这一点。The fact that beginners of English as a second/foreign language often overgenerate be forms tends to be subsumed under the issue of morphological variability,specifically when be is assumed to be a suppletive marker of verb tense,or under the issue of overpassivization.However,these accounts are not supported by findings in this article.This paper analyzes the compositions of nearly 5200 freshmen with the results that be-overgeneration is neither a result of overpassivization nor a suppletive form to mark tense-aspects,but is influenced by lexical aspects of main verbs,with the most frequently used verbs in this structure being those of states and achievements.These have been confirmed by grammaticality judgment tests on 162 learners of the same level.
