摘　　要：英语是我国中小学校开设的一门基础外语课程，由于缺少像英语国家那样真实的社会文化环境，其教学成效一直差强人意。章兼中教授立足中国国情，针对我国基础外语教育教学中存在的费时、低效等问题，深入外语课堂教学，经过五十余年充分的理论研究和中国本土教学实践，创建了“情境、情意、结构、交际、策略”英语十字教学法，它高度凝练，富有积极成效，是具有中国特色的外语教学法体系。它先进的教学理念、具体可操作的教学步骤，对我国广大中小学外语教师的专业发展和教学质量的提高具有极其重要的指导和促进作用。English is a fundamental course taught in elementary and secondary schools in China. However, the lack of immersion leads to less-than-satisfactory learning outcomes. To address the existing problems of low efficiency and efficacy in foreign language teaching, Professor Zhang Jianzhong constructed a teaching method which consists of five pillars, ＂situation, emotion, structure, communication, strategy＂. His theoretical research, practiced by domestic teachers over 50 years, is proven highly efficient and effective as a didactic approach. Its advanced visions and practical steps are crucial in guiding and promoting the professional training and teaching quality of English language teachers.
