摘　　要：戴尔·海姆斯这一百科全书式的伟大人物,曾涉足人类学、教育学、语言学、社会学、民俗学等众多领域,取得了丰厚的学术成果。作为美国著名的人类学家,他的民族志监测虽鲜为人知,但却一直引导人类学前行。本篇文章旨在探索戴尔·海姆斯追求一生的教育事业——民族志监测,具体包括三大核心点、民族志监测的实施、贡献、不足与展望等。同时,期待着有志者继续民族志监测的研究与探索。Dell Hymes is one of the greatest figures in the encyclopaedias. He has been involved in many areas,such as anthropology,pedagogy,educational anthropology,linguistics,sociology,folklore and others. Moreover,he has got great academic achievements. As a famous anthropologist and educational anthropologist in America, although his ethnographic monitoring is rarely known by people around the world,it is a power in leading the development of anthropology field. This article aims to explore his lifetime enterprise- ethnographic monitoring, which mainly includes three key points, its implementation,monitoring,ethnographic contributions,problems and prospects. At the same time,we are expecting more people to explore ethnographic monitoring.
