摘 要:共识问题在美国高等院校的价值教育中是一个核心问题,既涉及价值教育的内容问题,也涉及价值教育的合法性问题。将美国学界对于共识性价值问题的探讨置于美国政教分离的历史背景之下,有助于深入理解美国的价值教育。基于一系列社会问题的日益凸显,美国开始在国家内部寻求最大程度的价值共识。对共识性价值的寻求集中反映在美国学界围绕价值教育的合法性问题和内容问题的争论中。经过数十年的论争,争论各方虽仍然争论不断,但在制度性价值层面已经形成了一定的共识。这一机制性共识得以形成的源动力孕育于美国独特的历史背景之中。对机制性共识问题进行梳理和分析,不仅有助于对美国如今的价值教育现状做出解释,澄清一些看似悖论的状况,也能够为国内价值教育的开展提供一些可供参考的经验。The problem of consensus is a core issue in values education among colleges and universities in the United States.It involves both the content and the legitimacy of values education.Putting the discussion of the problem of value consensus among American academia under the background of the separation of church and state can be helpful to understand values education in the United States.According to the appearance of a series of social problems,the United States has started to seek maximum value consensus within countries.The seeking for value consensus is mainly reflected in the debate on the content and the legitimacy of values education among American academia.After decades of controversy,although the debate still continues,a consensus has been formed on the level of institutional value.The driving force of the formation of institutional consensus is in the unique historical background of the United States.The carding and analysis of the institutional consensus,can not only help to explain the present situation of values education in the United States and clarify some seemingly paradoxes,but also help to provide some useful experience to values education in China.
