摘　　要：五四运动前后政治形势急剧动荡,翻译与政治的关系密不可分。在此期间,政治对翻译活动产生了重要的影响,这些影响在译者翻译动机、翻译选材、翻译方法等方面皆有所体现。同时,翻译活动对政治生活发生了反作用,一定程度上影响了历史进程的发展。Around May Fourth movement,the political situation in China was in a turmoil,which brought the close relationship between translation and politics. During this period,politics influenced translation in many aspects,namely,translators＇ translating motives,selection of source texts and translating methods. Meanwhile,translation also had impacts on politics,thus more or less influencing the development of history.
