摘　　要：在高职院校开设英语语言文化类选修课，能够激发学生的学习兴趣和培养他们的综合文化素养，同时也能帮助学生提高在职场环境下运用英语的能力。构建契合高职院校特点，循序渐进的、多元的英语语言文化类选修课体系并选择与其相适应的教学组织形式、教学手段及考评方式能够更好地发挥英语语言文化类选修课的作用。Offering the optional courses of English language and culture for the students invocational college can stimulate their interests to learn English and promote their comprehensiveculture-cultivation while helping them improve the skills to use English in the vocationalenvironment. It can make the optional courses of English language and culture play their rolebetter to construct the progressive and pluralistic English language and culture optional coursessystem which accords with the characteristics of vocational colleges and adopt the suitableteaching organization form, teaching methods, and assessment ways.
