摘　　要：文化是一种因人的存在,也是一种属人的存在与为人的存在。文化在本质上是实践的,但实践也是文化的。人的劳动实践是文化生成的基础,是文化发展的最终动力,但文化对社会历史的作用与影响也是巨大的。在人类社会的发展历史上,没有出现过文化落后的民族与国家能够充当世界历史领头羊的角色。文化对人的社会生活的影响具有两重性,它对人既有教化作用、范导作用与规范作用,对一个民族来说还具有凝集作用与认同作用。但文化对社会发展与人的社会生活也有负作用,一种落后的、过时的文化也会阻碍社会历史的发展,成为人们的精神负担。应该历史与辩证地看待文化的作用,不能只看到积极方面,忽视其消极方面。既要重视文化的传承,更要重视文化的扬弃与创新,文化的发展应是与时俱进的。Culture is an existence based on people,and it also belongs to and serves the people. Culture is a kindof practice in nature,and practice is a part of culture at the same time. Man＇s labor practice is the base of culturalproduction and the ultimate driving forces of cultural development,but culture has significant effects and influences onsocial history. Never have any nations or countries which were backward in culture could act as the leader in thehistory of the world. The influences of culture on people＇s social life have duality. On the one hand,culture couldexert educating,guiding and disciplining role on people,furthermore,it could exert cohesive force and play an approvingrole on nation. On the other hand,culture has negative effects on the development of society and the social life ofpeople,the backward and outdated culture would hinder the development of social history and be an emotional burdento people. Consequently,we should treat the culture＇s effects historically and dialectically,notice both positive andnegative aspects simultaneously, in addition, we must emphasis on the inheritance,and pay more attention to thesublation and innovation of culture. The development of culture should advance with the times.
