摘  要:随着现代社会时空观的变迁和大学管理理念的变革,中国大学教师的时间观变化巨大并彤塑着学术工作的生态。本文通过对24位中国大学教师的深入访谈,关注他们在时间深度、时间边界、时间节奏、时间冲突和时间轨迹的层面如何形成自己的时间观。结果发现,学术工作自身特征要求大学教师持一种有深度的思考时间观、工作与生活时间区分并互相调剂、以学术兴趣和能力为导向进行时间规划、用预约和计划机制来协调时间冲突、容忍知识创新的不确定性、随机性与偶然性,进行较长的职业准备和持久的职业发展,但大学管理体现的时间要求与之截然不同。中国大学教师的日常实践就是在这两种冲突的时间观中挣扎,因而有必要调整大学行政部门的时间观,并遵循学术工作的时间规律改革学术管理制度,避免大学教师的身心健康、职业认同和学术创新陷入危机。How Chinese university teachers view time has changed and reshaped academic work significantly because of the changing understandings of both time-space and management ideologies within higher education.Drawing on 24 in-depth interviews with Chinese university teachers,this paper examines how Chinese university teachers understand time depth,time boundaries,time pace,time conflicts,and time track.Research findings show that academic work highly requires time depth while the fragmentation of time threatens traditional working style in academic professions.Moreover,the balance between work and life has to be valued while one's work planning has to be based on one's research interests and competence.Issues of time conflict need to be solved by making appointments,and academic work needs to shoulder the risks of failure in creating new knowledge.However,the current institutions did not leave much space for valuing the features of academic work.Therefore,it suggests that the administrative sectors in higher education need to change their views of time and to reform the current regulations to meet the requirements of academic work.Developing the career commitment and creativity of Chinese university teachers in academic studies will be beneficial.
