摘 要:受制于《圣经》诠释传统对诚信所作的意义规定,对于孔子"诈病"拒见孺悲一事,理雅各就圣人的诚信品格及儒家的诚信之教均予以质疑和批评。但另一方面,理雅各又以对基督教道德神学"内心保留理论"一定程度的认可为前提,对中国经学诠释传统以"谦辞"和"不屑之教"肯定"辞以疾"的行动,予以部分的理解和接受。作为一种他者视域的观照,理雅各对儒家诚信之教的批评,使我们得以突破中国经学诠释传统的崇圣性思维,开始思考诚信原则价值承诺的终极依据问题。Subject to the stipulation of traditional interpretation of truth in the Bible, James Legge questioned and criticized the Confucian idea of integrity and the teaching of it, in view of the story of " Ru Bei Being Rejected by Confucius with the excuse of illness" However, on the basis of the recognition of "Mental Reservation Theory" in Christian Moral theology, James Legge also showed his partial understanding and acceptance of Confucius rejecting, keeping in mind the traditional interpretation in Chinese Classics on self-depreciatory expression and unworthy teaching. With Legge' s criticism as a mirror from the "other", we have a more open view of the sage-worshipping in the interpretation of Chinese classics, and start to consider the ultimate criteria for the judgement of the integrity principle and the value commitment.
