摘 要:词汇习得是大学生英语学习不可或缺的组成部分,是第二语言发展的重要内容。派生法是由词根与词缀相结合构成单词的方法,有助于大学生全面掌握词汇的音形义并扩大词汇习得广度与深度。派生法在大学英语词汇习得中的运用可分为准备、实施、巩固三个阶段。实效研究证明派生法有助于提升大学生在英语词汇习得中的表现,而语言框架差异、缺乏目的语词汇知识以及词根词缀本身的复杂性增加了大学生运用派生法进行词汇习得的难度。Vocabulary acquisition is an indispensable part of English learning for college students and the significant content of second language acquisition. Derivation is defined as a method formulating words by roots and affixes,which contributes to the students' comprehensive mastery of pronunciation,form and meaning and improve the extent and depth of vocabulary acquisition. The application of derivation in the vocabulary acquisition of college English can be divided into three parts,i. e. preparation,implementation and consolidation. A case study proves the effectiveness of derivation to vocabulary acquisition for college students. However,the differences of language frameworks,the absence of lexicological knowledge of target language and the complexity of roots and affixes increase the difficulty for college students to utilize derivation in vocabulary acquisition.
