摘　　要：毛姆与张爱玲的小说中都以"家庭"作为作品中描写的主要场景。他们相似的家庭背景、婚姻家庭生活以及两位作家分别所处的社会文化背景等多方面原因决定了他们作品中所传递的独特的家庭价值观。他们在各自作品中构建的各式"家庭"中的冲突与矛盾,也为我们建构现代意义的和谐家庭模式提供了一些借鉴和思考。Family life constitutes a chief focus in novels both by Somerset Maugham and ZHANG Ailing. The unique family val-ue reflected in their worlds is determined by many factors, including their similar family backgrounds and marriages,together with their respective social and cultural backgrounds. Conflicts and contradictions constructed in various families in their works provide some references and reflections in terms of constructing a harmonious family model in the modern sense.
