摘　　要：英国作家马克·哈登的小说《深夜小狗神秘事件》自2003年出版时起便从众多关注自闭症人群的作品中脱颖而出。小说中使用的59幅图像、图表等非文字模态在协同文字符号共同传递语篇意义的过程中可谓功不可没,然而这在以往的研究中鲜有提及和论述。笔者采用包含"地位"与"逻辑—语义"两个子系统的图文关系系统,结合基于语篇对读者图式的影响将语篇进行的分类,对哈登的这一多模态文学作品进行了细致的分析,尝试探究图像与文字在作品中的配置关系及其表达作用。结论认为,作者通过文字与非文字模态间的互动刷新读者的语言图式,进而保持、强化、更新读者有关自闭症群体的世界图式,使作品的多模态形式和社会功能完美地结合,从而以文学形式表达了对社会的悲悯情怀,可谓匠心独具。Among several novels featuring characters with autism, Mark Haddon＇ s The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time published in 2003 rose above others, bringing about a great sensation. Its success partly relies on the 59 images or diagrams used in the novel, which however, has not received sufficient attention in previous studies. The present article attempts to analyze this novel of distinct muhimodal features from the perspectives of image-text relations and discourse classifications. Results show that the deployment of muhimodal semiotic resources refreshes readers＇ language schemata and further preserves, reinforces and refreshes readers＇ world schemata of autism. It is argued that the author＇ s ingenuity in combining the muhimodal forms in literature with the social functions of literature helps the novel show people＇ s compassion for those suf- fering from autism.
