摘 要:目的以学生的需求为出发点,调查昆明医科大学本科生ESP的学习需求.方法随机抽取昆明医科大学2013级1259名各专业本科生作为被调查对象,采取问卷调查的形式采集与分析相关信息.结果希望开设的英语课程需求数据显示,22.93%的学生选择了四、六级辅导课程,20.31%的学生选择了口语课程,18.39%的学生选择了医学英语课程;在是否希望学习医学专业英语方面,79.23%表示非常希望和比较希望学习ESP课程,91.99%认为专业英语对将来的重要性非常重要和比较重要,学生ESP需求的平均得分为(14.11±2.139)分,多重线性回归分析结果显示,母亲的文化程度、对大学英语的满意度、对大学英语是否感兴趣、对自己的英语水平的满意度进入回归方程(P<0.05);从偏回归系数看,母亲的文化程度越高、对大学英语越感兴趣、对自己的英语水平越满意、对大学英语越满意,ESP需求评分越高.结论学生的需求符合目前大学外语教学中提倡学生通过一段时间EGP课程学习后再进入ESP课程学习的观点;让有ESP学习需求的学生最大可能地参与到教学过程中,充分调动学生学习的兴趣和积极性,让他们顺利完成从EGP到ESP课程的过渡,保证ESP课程的教学效果;ESP教学模式引入医学英语课程教学的可行性.Objective To investigate undergraduates' ESP needs of Kunming Medical University. Methods By random sampling, 1 259 undergraduates in Grade 2013 were chosen as investigation objects, with a questionnaire used in the study. Re s ults As data suggested, concerning all English courses, 22.93% students preferred CET4 CET6 training course,oral English was chosen by 20.31%, and ESP course preferred by 18.39%;concerning ESP course,79.23% students held high expectation to learn it,91.99% considered ESP learning quite important to their future career;the average score of students' ESP needs was(14.11±2.139),the multiple linear regression analysis showed that mother's education status, satisfaction degree with college English, interest in college English, and satisfaction degree with their own English level went into regression equation(P 〈0.05); from the partial regression coefficient, the higher mother's education, the more interest in college English, the higher satisfaction degree with English level, the more needs of ESP. Conclus ion Student's needs consist with the conception, advocated in current college foreign language teaching, undergraduates should take EGP course before ESP course;to guarantee ESP teaching efficiency and a success transition from EGP to ESP, students with needs of ESP should be involved in teaching process, motivated by their interest and enthusiasm; the feasibility of ESP in medical English teaching.
