摘　　要：英语作为使用最广泛的一种语言,其在报刊新闻中使用的语言越来越简化。与生动形象的文学语言对比,英语报刊中的语言经常会受到趣味性、大众性、节俭性等因素的制约,且在语法和修辞上的选用比较独树一帜。针对大量的英语报刊中使用的语言方式,将从词汇与语法两方面对其进行探讨。English, as the most widely used language , has been more and more simplified in news writing Compared with literature works, newspapers and magazines have to offer interesting and popular stories to their readers while trying to be economical in the number of words. In addition, these stories reveal their uniqueness in grammar and rhetoric quite different from other genres. It is in view of the particularities of the English variety that a discussion on its grammar and vocabularies is presented in the paper.
