摘　　要：杜博妮(Bonnie S.Mc Dougall)是西方汉学界知名的现当代中国文学评论家、翻译家和翻译理论家,专注中国现当代文学作品的英译,著译作等身。在广泛实践的基础上,杜博妮形成自己的翻译理论和翻译思想,成为西方汉学家翻译家中第一个系统提出汉英文学翻译理论的人。杜博妮翻译理论的形成经历三个阶段:第一阶段,认为翻译理论对于文学翻译来说是无用的,只在实践的基础上提出一些翻译的方法和指导;第二阶段,提出文学翻译应遵循"快乐原则",关注译者的主观能动性及读者的愉悦感;第三阶段,从更宏观的角度出发,提出20世纪80年代的中国文学翻译有"权威命令"和"礼物交换"两种模式,提倡汉英文学翻译研究的"中国中心主义视角",关注中国翻译活动的特殊性。杜博妮的翻译理论和翻译思想对于现当代中国文学作品的英译有很强的理论和实践指导意义。Bonnie S. McDougall is one of the best - known critics, translators and translation theorists in contemporary Chinese literature. She focuses on translating contemporary Chinese literary works into English and is very productive both in translation and translation theories. Based on her own translation practice, Mc- Dougall forms her own translation theories and translation thoughts and becomes the first sinologist to systemati- eally put forward a translation theory about translating contemporary Chinese literature from Chinese to Eng- lish. The formation of McDougall＇ s translation theories has gone through three stages ： Stage 1, McDougall thinks that translation theory has little value to literary translation and only based on her own practice; Stage 2, McDougall puts forward the pleasure proposes that translator＇s subjectivity and reader＇s suggests some translation strategies principle of literary translation and reading pleasure should be given importance to; Stage 3, From an even more macro perspective, McDougall concludes that there are two translation modes （authoritari- an command and gift exchange） in literary translation from Chinese to English in the 1980s. She also puts em- phasis on the specialty of Chinese translation activities and calls on a ＂China - centered＂ translation theory. Studying McDougall＇ s translation theories is of great value in translating contemporary Chinese literature into English in terms of both practice and theory.
