摘　　要：地方本科院校的动物科学专业与生产实践联系紧密,为培养适应市场需求的应用型高素质专业人才,根据信阳农林学院的实际情况,从改革人才培养模式,强化实践教学条件,优化教学方法、教学手段,建设教学团队,以及采用综合考核方式等方面进行了实践与探索。Animal science specialty of local universities is closely related with production practice. In order to cultivate high quality application-oriented professional talents who meet the market demands, according to the actual situation of Xinyang College of Agricultural and Forestry, practice and exploration are made on the following aspect： talent training mode reform, practical teaching conditions enhancement, teaching methods and means optimization, teaching team construction, and comprehensive evaluation system application.
