摘　　要：自1976年问世以来,《资本主义美国的学校教育》一书在四十年间受到广泛的赞誉和尖锐的批评,对其反思和批判预示了激进教育理论后续发展的不同路径。20世纪70年代评论的主题和视角相当多元;80年代评论趋向较为单一,以批评为主,且在很大程度上支配了目前对该书的认知;90年代以后,该书被普遍视为历史文本,间或出现一些重新评估的声音,但影响甚微;进入21世纪后,该书作为历史文本的重要性得到进一步巩固,成为一些学位论文探讨的对象。Since Schooling in Capitalist America was published in 1976, it has attracted considerable praise and sharp criticism in the past 40 years. Reflections and critiques of the book indicates different directions in the consequent radical theories of education. In 1970s, critiques were rather diverse in terms of theme and perspective; in 1980s, criticism was the major form of critiques and largely influenced the present perception of Schooling; in 1990s, it has been widely treated as a historic text and advocates for re evaluation occurred occasionally but with little influence; and in the 21St century, the significance of the book has been further recognized, becoming research objective of some dissertations.
