摘　　要：五四新文化运动被推崇为"中国的启蒙运动",是中国历史上前所未有的思想文化大革新。五四新文学则被誉为"是以启蒙主义为重心的文学现代化运动"。以五四时期翻译活动为例,分析了五四时期翻译现代性的特征,重点探讨了五四时期翻译对中国传统文学的现代化转型的重要贡献。The May 4th New Culture Movement praised as ＂China＇s Enlightenment＂ is an unprecedented reform and innovation in the fields of thought and culture in Chinese history. Taking translation in the May Fourth Movement as an example, this paper analyzes the characteristics of the modernity of translation during the May 4th period and points out the important contribution that translation has made in the May 4th period to the modernization of Chinese traditional literature.
