论刘宓庆翻译研究范式的演变

摘　　要：将刘宓庆的翻译研究范式放在中国新时期翻译研究范式的发展历程中,对比分析发现,他的翻译研究范式经历了从语言学范式向语言哲学范式的演变,这与中国新时期整体的翻译研究范式的演变既有重合也有错位。为了全面深入地理解刘宓庆的翻译思想,文章进一步分析了出现错位的原因:一是两种不同性质的"语言"观所致;二是刘宓庆所依据的维特根斯坦后期哲学思想在西方语言哲学中的桥梁地位;三是从整体上看,刘宓庆的研究还是"以语言为中心"的;四是刘宓庆对翻译学本质属性的认识与其研究实践之间的悖论。Stephen Owen, a well-known American sinologist , has made great contribution to the translation of Chinese literary works. Due to different cultural background , thinking mode , method and vision of research , his translation thoughts and practices take on unique features. On the level of understanding source texts , he sticks to text-centered principle, analyzing and interpreting the meaning and the form of source texts in his highly creative way. On the level of producing target texts , he creates translated versions full of formal differ-ences by form- reconstruction. On the level of translators! culture orientation , he holds that the culture of a na-tion is also the heritage of the whole world. He also holds that as literary spokesmen and cultural coordinators, translators are supposed to balance coordinate and harmonize the different cultures in their translations with a global vision. Studying Stephen Owen’ s literary translation thoughts helps us change our stereotyped perspec-tives and broaden the vision of translation studies in China and benefits us in conversing actively with the western translators and translation researchers.
