摘 要:从波爱修对亚里士多德《解释篇》第九章的注疏,特别是从他处理未来偶然事件问题的方式上,可看出他是位忠实的亚里士多德主义者。他沿用了亚里士多德主义的解决方案,而非斯多亚派的方案:他与亚里士多德传统一同将此问题视为一个逻辑决定论的问题,而斯多亚派则将此问题视为因果决定论问题。本文在揭示波爱修之亚里士多德传承的同时,也将揭示他如何在《哲学的慰藉》中将柏拉图关于永恒和时间的理论融入他对此问题的讨论之中,从而得以优雅地解决亚氏所提出的两个关于未来偶然事件的悖论。From Boethius's interpretation of Chapter 9 of Perihermeneias of Aristotle,especially his treatment of future contingents,we can see that in this case he is a loyal Aristotelian who is in favor of Aristotle's solution other than that of the Stoics.He continued Aristotelian tradition by treating this problem as a problem of logical determinism,which for the Stoics was a problem of causal determinism.While showing how Boethius followed the Aristotelian tradition in his commentaries to De Intrepreatione,I shall also show how he integrated Plato's theory on time and eternity in his Consolatio,and therefore solved the problem of providence,future contingents and free will elegantly.
