摘  要:[ Objective] The paper was to study the immune activities of Lactobacillus acidophilus 1. 1878 and its effect on antioxidant capacity of broiler chicks. [ Methods] Samples of intestinal mucous, serum and liver were collected from broiler chicks after oral administration of L. acidophilus 1. 1878. Secretory immunoglobulin A (slgA) content in the intestina/mucous, total antioxidant capacity (T-AOC), level of MDA and activity of SOD and GSH-Px were determined, respec- tively. [Result] Oral administration of L. acidophilus 1. 1878 significantly improved the slgA content in jejunum and ileum mucous (P 〈0.05). No significant differences were observed in GSH-Px activity between treatment group and control group. The concentration of T-AOC and activity of SOD in serum and liver increased significantly (P 〈 0.05 ), while the level of MDA reduced significantly after oral administration of L. acidophilus 1.1878 (P 〈 0.05 ).
