摘 要:范源濂因较早接受新式教育,并曾两度赴欧美实地考察,探本求源,所以对西方教育认识深刻。他认为教育是导致西方富强的主要原因,而西方教育的发达取决于有政策的支撑和丰富的教育资源,并且认识到欧美教育的一大突出特点是重实学和科学教育。尽管他对西方教育的认识有不足之处,但主张仿效欧美发展现代教育的思想具有极大的进步性。Fan Yuan-lian had deep understanding on western education since he acquired new-style education in early years and had field trip to Europe and America. He proposed that education was the main reason for the prosperity of western countries and the development of education depended on the support of government policy and rich educational resources. Additionally, he also thought that education in western countries focused on practice and science. Although his thought to western education had some disadvantages, his suggestion that it was important to develop modern education was regarded as great progress.
