摘 要:本研究针对北京石油化工学院,以美国心理学家Stephen D.Krashen的语言输入理论中所提出的i+1的概念和Swain的输出假说为理论基础,采取对比实验方法,探索大学英语课堂演讲嵌入与第二课堂演讲实践相结合的拓展型教学模式的有效性。实验结果表明,实施该教学模式的实验组学生的英语语言输出能力明显高于对照组学生,实验组学生的英语综合运用能力得到了较大的提高。同时,这种拓展型教学模式也为大学英语教学提供了重要的启示。The Effectiveness of integrating public speaking inserted into College English class with extracurricular public speaking practices is explored by applying the "i+ 1" concept of Krashen's input theoryand the triggering function of Swain's output theory in the practice of comparative patterns of teaching fora year, which shows that the integration of public speaking activities in and out of class proves effectivefor students from experimental group to improve their comprehensive abilities in using English, and tobuild their confidence and enhance their enthusiasm in learning English. Meanwhile, the closely integrat-ed practical methodology brings important hints to the reform of College English teaching.
