摘　　要：习语是一个国家和民族语言和文化的精华,英汉习语翻译不仅是两种语言的文字转换,更涉及到不同文化的输出。巴斯奈特的文化翻译观为从文化的视角研究习语翻译提供了有力的理论支撑,在翻译习语时,译者应正确、恰当地运用归化和异化的原则处理英汉习语中的文化因素,使译文在传达源语语义的同时,促进中西方文化的有效交流和广泛传播。Idiom is the language and cultural essence of a nation. The translation of idioms involves not only the language transference but also the cultural exchanges between countries, Susan Bassnett＇s cultural translation provides a theoretical support for the study of idiom translation. Translators should adopt domestication and foreignization to handle cultural elements in idiom translation so that language transference can be achieved and cultural exchanges can be promoted.
