摘　　要：翻译过程中选择无处不在,一些是显性的选择,一些是隐性的选择。本文提出了影响译者选择的因素。这些因素有些是语言性的,也有些是文化性的。译者选择的动机不同,往往其所采用的策略、方法和技巧也有所不同。决策不同,译文亦不同。了解这些因素和有动机的选择之间的关系对翻译实践和翻译教学都具有极为重要的意义。In the course of translation, choices are made at every point, some explicit and some implicit. This paper comes up with the factors affecting translators＇ choices. Some of them are linguistical, some cultural. Motivations behind translators＇ decision making usually lead to different translational strategies, methods and skills. As the result of motivated decisions there are different versions of the same original text. A good knowledge of relation between these factors and the motivated decisions is important for translators＇ performance as well as translation teaching.
