摘  要:基于美国院校研究会年会议题的考察发现,美国院校研究组织制度化发展经历了战略规划与教学和学习研究,办学资源、行政领导和政策分析以及数据挖掘与决策咨询、办学效能与评估、学习有效性研究三个阶段。从其阶段性特征可以看出,美国院校研究机构在具体任务、工作职责、机构名称等方面变化明显,但其服务高校内部质量提升的宗旨,实证研究范式,以决策咨询为目的,以行政部门定性的组织特征方面稳定不变。美国院校研究的成功与其赖以生存的社会基础、工作评价模式和研究范式等有关。Reviewing the topics of AIR(American Institutional Research) annual forums, it found that the institutionalized development of AIR mainly experienced three phases as follows: strategic planning and teaching & learning; school resources, administrative leadership and policy analysis; data mining and decision-making consultation, school effectiveness and evaluation, students" learning effectiveness. According to the features of its developmental stages, it concluded that AIR in American colleges and universities had been obviously changing in its specific tasks, responsibilities and the name; but its aim to improve the internal quality of university, support decision-making based on the empirical research paradigm and the organization characteristic of being administration institution were stable. The success of AIR lay in its social foundation, performance evaluation model and research paradigm.
