摘  要:主辅修制度是美国研究型大学本科教育跨学科人才培养制度的重要内容之一。通过对美国11所研究型大学文理学院主辅修制度的考察发现,主修与辅修专业设置、主修专业与开设主修专业的学术部门及教师之间存在一定的比例关系;主辅修确定与完成的时间各校要求基本一致,学生选择主修与辅修数量的原则不超过三个,主辅修的课程与学分要求在学院之间、学校之间都存在较大的差异,另外,学校为学生主辅修选择提供了全程的指导教师。综合来看,美国大学主辅修制体现出不以就业为目的、学生自由流动、跨学科及管理上的科学性等特点。The major and minor system is one of important contents of interdisciplinary talents training system of undergraduate education in American universities. Based on the analysis of the major and minor system in the college of arts sciences in eleven research universities,it has found that the setting of the major and minor system,and the major of the academic department and the teachers of the major setting exists some proportional relation. And the time of confirming and completing the major and minor has no difference among universities. In addition,the students should abide at most three principles,and the courses and credits of the major and minor are totally different among the schools and universities. Besides,the universities provide the advising faculty for the students in the whole process. All in all,the major and minor system in American universities shows some characteristics such as not taking employment as the goal,free choice for students,the scientific nature of interdisciplinary and management and so on.
