摘　　要：通过解析世界名著《包法利夫人》,分析女主人公爱玛一生为了追求偏激、虚荣的浪漫爱情生活而债务缠身,最后因无力解脱而服毒自尽的历程,并探析爱玛的悲剧是由其性格造成的。This paper analyzes the life journey of the protagonist Emma in the world famous literary work Madame Bov ary. In all her life, Emma was in pursuit of vanity and extremely romantic love affairs, which resulted in her inability to pay off the heavy debt. At last, she committed suicide by taking poison. The author of this paper points out that Emma＇ s tragedy is caused by her character.
