摘　　要：分离变量法是求解数学物理方程有界区域定解问题的一种基本算法,本文首先给出分离变量法的数学思想和主要步骤,然后重点讨论分离变量法的适用条件,最后说明分离变量法的一种应用推广。Separation of variables isa basic algorithm in solvingequations of mathematical physics on limited region. This paperfirst simply introduces basic ideas and main steps of separation ofvariables, then focuses our discussion on the applicable condi-tions of separation of variables, and finally illustrates an extendedapplication of separation of variables.
