摘　　要：新闻标题传达新闻主旨,是新闻的重要组成部分,一般要求语句高度简洁,具有高度概括性。人称指示语在英语新闻标题中的广泛运用体现了语言使用和新闻语境的关系,缩短了新闻发话人和新闻受话人的心理距离,促进了新闻传播和交际的顺利达成。News headlines convey the essence of news items and therefore, they play a very important part in news items. Words in them are supposed to be highly concise and general. And the use of personal deixis effectively shortens the distance between news reporters and news receivers, hints relations between the use of words and news context and also facilitates the communication between reporters and receivers.
