摘　　要："自强不息,厚德载物"是中华民族精神的重要内容,毛泽东等时代人物为了民族独立和国家富强,用自己的言行谱写了自强不息的民族精神。弘扬具有自强不息民族精神的核心价值观对当代大学生思想教育以及价值观的培养具有现实意义,在大学生中培养毛泽东自强不息民族精神有利于大学生的成长成才,并以之为导向实现自身价值,为祖国伟大复兴事业奋斗。＂Self-discipline and social commitment＂ has always been a vital part of Chinese ethnics. To a- chieve national independence and to make China wealthy and powerful, Mao Zedong set an example of self- discipline and social commitment by his own deed. Promoting the ethnic of self-discipline and social Com- mitment will positively influence the values of modern college students, facilitate their growth and devel- opment, and lead them to achieve self-worth, to fight for the great rejuvenation of Chinese nation.
