摘　　要：时务学堂是是近代法政教育变革的先驱。其办学宗旨鲜明,以政学为主义,以开民智为要务。其已有较为系统的法政教育课程设计,每月都有"公法学"研读书目,其中既有《法国律例》《英律全书》等比较法、宪法、民法、刑法、商法、国际法等具体法律门类,更有《万国公法》《佐治刍言》等最新潮的西方法律著作。批判专制法统、倡导民权自由是其教育灵魂所在,师生探讨了民权自由、限制皇权、君臣关系、西方议院等最新法政问题。Shiwu Academy is a pioneer of reforming modern legal and political education.Its aim is to enlighten people's wisdom,with the political science as the core.It has a systematic education curriculum design,which has public jurisprudence reading every month.In this course,there is study of bibliography including "French law", "British law book" such as comparative laws,constitutional law,civil law,criminal law,commercial law,international law and other specific legal categories,as well as the latest western legal writings such as Elements of International Law,Homely Words,Aid Governance.The criticism of the autocratic legal tradition and the freedom of civil rights are the soul of education.The teachers and students discussed the freedom of civil rights,the restriction of the imperial power,the relationships between the monarch and his subjects,the western congress and other recent legal issues.
