摘　　要：语言与文化密不可分。研究汉语文化负载词的英译方法,不仅有利于提高翻译实践的水平,而且有利于推进中国文化走向世界。林语堂《苏东坡传》含有大量汉语文化负载词,分析其英文著作中的翻译处理方法,旨在为翻译实践和文化交流提供一些参考和启示。Language and culture are closely related. Studies on English translation of Chinese culture-loaded words not only help to improve the level of translation practice, but also promote the Chinese culture to the world. Lin Yutang＇ s work of The Gay Genius： The Life and Times of Su Tungpo contains a large number of Chinese culture-loaded words. This paper analyzes the English translation of Chinese culture-loaded words in The Gay Genius： The Life and Times of Su Tungpo, and aims to provide some insights into translation practice and cultural exchange.
