摘　　要：1738年,杜赫德的《中华帝国全志》英译版出版,其中译述了《农政全书》中的《蚕桑》,这是《农政全书》在英语世界的首次译介。1849年,肖氏翻译了《农政全书》中的《木棉》主体内容,发表在《中国丛报》上,这是《农政全书》在英语世界首次真正意义上的翻译。译文基本准确再现了原文内容,删减和误译之处甚少。1984年,白馥兰撰写的《中国科学技术史》第6卷第2册《农业》出版,首次用英语比较全面地介绍了《农政全书》。Published in 1738 in Description of the Empire of China and Chinese-tartar,English translation version Silkworm Breeding and Mulberry Tree Cultivation in A Complete Treatise on Agriculture marked the first introduction of A Complete Treatise on Agriculture into the English world. In strict sense the first true English translation of A Complete Treatise on Agriculture appeared in 1849,when C. Shaw translated the majority of Cultivation of Cotton in A Complete Treatise on Agriculture into English and got it published on The Chinese Repository. C. Shaw＇s version basically reproduced the main content of the original with only few omissions or errors. In 1984,Francesca Bray＇s Agriculture（Part 2 of volume 6 of Science and Civilization in China） was published,which comprehensively introduced A Complete Treatise on Agriculture into the English world for the first time.
