摘 要:以-ly结尾的副词在学术英语文本中使用频率较高。本文调查中国英语学习者语料库(CLEC)中常用-ly副词的频率分布情况,以期为学术英语教学,特别是词汇教学提供借鉴。统计结果表明CLEC中最常用的10个-ly副词的频率分布与FLOB语料库中相应的-ly副词有较大差异。笔者查看了CLEC中三个比较有代表性的-ly副词的使用情况,解释其频率分布差异产生的原因,探讨其对教学的启示。-ly adverbs enjoy a very high frequency in academic English. This article examines the frequency distribution of frequently used -ly adverbs in the CLEC corpus in the hope of providing insights to the teaching of academic English, especially vocabulary instruction. Statistics show that the frequency distribution of the most frequently used 10 -ly adverbs in CLEC is remarkably different from that of corresponding -ly ad- verbs in FLOB. The author picks three typical -ly adverbs from the CLEC corpus and analyzes their usages in comparison with FLOB to identify causes of their abnormal distribution and to explore how such informa- tion benefits language instruction.
