摘　　要：本文以《高等学校英语专业本科教学质量国家标准》和《英语专业本科人才培养方案(理工类院校)》两份文件为依据,分析了理工类院校英语专业教材建设的指导思想、体系建设和具体实施等方面。本文认为,人文素质教育是我国理工类英语专业教材建设的核心理念,通识教育是具体手段和实施方法。Based on the National Standard of Teaching Qual-ity for English Major Undergraduate and the Educational Plan for English Major Undergraduate in universities of science and technology, this paper analyzes the guiding principles, system-atic development and implementation of textbooks for English major undergraduate in universities of science and technology. The paper argues that humanistic education is the core concept in the development of textbooks for English major, and general education is the media and the implementation.
