摘 要:文化翻译观是侧重文化角度指导翻译实践和审视翻译活动的翻译观,此观点认为翻译的本质就是译者用目标语再现原作的文化活动。文章运用该理论,并结合韶关的实例重新审视我国的景点名翻译,发现当下的翻译存在理解有误、用词不当和译法不妥等问题,建议重译时应采用异化为主、归化为辅的翻译策略,综合运用增词、省略、直译、意译和音译等方法,以期更好地再现中国悠久的历史文化。The cultural view on translation is focused on its guiding and assessment of the translation practice from the perspective of culture,and holds the view that translation in essence is an activity of translators' reproducing the original culture.The present paper aims to apply the view to analyze Chinese scenic spots' translation,combined with the typical examples in Shaoguan.It has been found that their existing English translations are filled with such problems as the translator's misunderstandings and improper uses of words and translation methods.Besides,it is suggested that when retranslating the spots,the strategy of foreignization being the dominant and domestication the secondary should be employed with a comprehensive use of such methods as addition,omission,literal translation,free translation and transliteration in order to better reproduce the long historical Chinese culture.
