摘　　要：功能翻译理论包括目的论,语际连贯和语内连贯法则。它从行为论的视角来解释翻译行为。基于功能翻译理论,将2013年奥巴马就职演讲的两个口译版本作为研究对象,阐述功能翻译理论视角下隐喻在口译实践中的运用,在隐喻的处理上多采用隐喻保留、隐喻替代、隐喻去除和变译策略。Functionalist approaches include skopos theory, intertextual coherence and intratextual co-herence. They explain translation activities from the perspective of behavioral theory. Based on func-tionalist approaches, targeting at two simultaneous interpretation versions of 2013 Obama inaugural address,this paper proves the feasibility of functionalist approaches to simultaneous interpretation practice, and examines the strategies of handling metaphors in the interpreting processes, including metaphor retention, metaphor substitution, metaphor removal and partial interpretation.
