摘　　要：Based on the manoeuvring MMG （Mathematical Modeling Group） and the Runge-Kutta Method, a mathematical model for simulation of ship manoeuvrability is established. On this basis, a prediction program is compiled on platform Visual Basic 6.0. The turning motion, Zig-zag and crash stopping ability of a container ship are simulated by this program. Compared with the model test results, the error is less than 10%. In view of the admissible accuracy, the program is capable of predicting ship manoeuvrability.
