中西民间叙事传统比较谫论

摘　　要：中西民间叙事传统都非常悠久。民间叙事往往与文人叙事、官方叙事等相对应,融汇了本民族的经验和智慧,以口头、文字或图像等为载体,反映民众日常生活、价值观念、审美旨趣等。中西民间叙事形式繁多,样态丰富,地方性知识是民间叙事的根本特性。本文以叙事载体为标准,将中西民间叙事划分为口传叙事、文字叙事与非语言文字叙事三种形态。民间叙事长期受到本民族文化的滋养,叙事传统必然蕴藉着本民族文化、思想观念,而民族文化观念往往影响着中西民间叙事传统的形成和发展。在某种意义上,中西民间叙事传统是中西文化自证的一种体现。Both Chinese and Western folk narrative have a long tradition. Folk narrative, often opposed to various non-folk narratives such as literati narration and official narration, integrates the experience and wisdom of a nation. Through verbal or written languages or images,folk narrative reflects people＇s dally life, values, virtues and vices, the aesthetics purport etc. There are various forms of Chinese and Western folk narrative. Local knowl- edge is the basic characteristics of folk narrative. Based on the narrative cartier, this paper divides Chinese and Western folk narration into three forms, oral narrative, text narrative and non-verbal narrative. Folk narrative has been long nourished by its own national culture. Narrative tradition inevitably implies its own national culture and ideological con- cepts. Meanwhile, national culture often influences the formation and development of Chi- nese and Western folk narrative tradition. In a sense, the traditional Chinese and Western folk narrative is a manifestation of Chinese and Western cultural self-verification.
