摘　　要：福克纳小说在人物塑造、叙事技巧和语言修辞上展现出二元对立的形式特征,其中蕴含着明显的意识形态征候。小说的形式意识形态反映福克纳对美国南方旧贵族价值观的认同,以及他对资产阶级新贵得势的厌恶和恐惧,折射出他对南方社会现代变革无可奈何又忧心忡忡的矛盾心理。这种对立和矛盾是福克纳小说艺术张力的重要来源。In William Faulkner＇s novels, there are binary oppositions in character stereotypes, narrative skills and discursive rhetoric, which suggest apparent ideology of form. They signal the author＇s recognition of old aristocratic values of the American South and his disgust and fear of the rising new bourgeois tycoons. They reflect his reluctant-and-anxious ambivalence about the modern changes taking place in the South. Such oppositions and ambivalence greatly make up the artistic tensions in Faulkner＇s novels.
