英汉习语翻译中存在的问题及对策研究

摘　　要：习语是语言文化的结晶,是人们在长期的使用中所形成的简洁、形象、精辟、生动的短语或短句,他们具有丰富的民族文化特征。英语习语的翻译既要保留原文深刻的喻义和浓厚的民族色彩,又不至于使汉语读者产生歧义,这是英语习语翻译的难点所在。本文针对英汉习语翻译中存在的几种常见问题,提出了解决这些问题的对策。Idioms are the quintessence of language and culture.Rich in national cultural characteristics, they are simple, vivid,penetrating phrases or short sentences formed by people inlong-term use. The translation of English idioms must preservethe profound metaphor and strong national color of the originaltext, but it should not make Chinese readers ambiguous, which isthe difficulty in translating English idioms. In view of the commonproblems in English-Chinese translation of idioms, the countermeasuresto solve these problems are put forward.
