柏格理石门坎办学经验对西部民族地区农村基础教育的启示——以课程与教材教法为例

摘  要:20世纪的贵州威宁石门坎学校成功走出了一条适应苗族和黔滇川民族地区实际的路子。石门坎学校创办者柏格理联系实际,因地制宜,创造灵活多样的办学形式和教育模式,全面拓展教育对象的认知,将石门坎的教育推向了辉煌,塑造了民族地区农村教育的成功范例。在教育结构、专业设置、学制、教材、办学形式等方面,走出了一条适应少数民族和民族地区实际的路子。农村教育主要是为农村服务,民族地区的农村教育也主要是为民族地区的农村服务,为提高民族地区农村人口的基本素质和促进民族地区农村学生发展服务。对大部分西部农村学生而言,他们在完成学业之后主要的就业空间仍然还是在西部农村。西部民族地区农村教育的课程设置、教材教法的制定应该紧紧围绕为民族地区农村建设服务的宗旨,增强教学内容的实用性与针对性,以满足西部民族地区农村建设的需要。Education in rural nationality areas mainly provides service to improving the basic quality ofrural population and promoting the development of rural students in those areas. We must keep a clearmind of the fact that most of the students can only seek employment in the rural minority areas of westernregion after finishing their schooling. Therefore, the curriculum setting of teaching material and methoddevelopment should be closely centered on the purpose of serving rural construction in minority areas andenhance the practicability and pertinence of teaching content so as to meet the needs of rural construction.Samuel Pollard, founder of the Shimenkan school, associated with reality and acting according to circum-stances, created flexible and diversified school form and education modes, leading to the expansion of thestudents’ cognitive vision and pushing the education of Shimenkan forward to brilliant stage, providing uswith a successful example of running education in rural nationality areas.
