公共艺术不是精英艺术

摘　　要：服务于社会全体成员的普遍需要,而非某一社会阶层的特殊需要,是公共艺术区别于非公共艺术的要点所在。无论公共艺术创作者的社会身份属于何种社会阶层,公共艺术作品是否能被精英艺术阶层所认可,具备"去精英"社会文化属性、服务于全体社会成员的公共艺术,都不是精英艺术而是大众艺术。这是被公共艺术发展所不断证明的客观事实。Serving the general needs of all members of society, rather than the special needs of a particular social class, is the key to distinguish public art from non-public art. No matter what social class the public art creator belongs to and whether the public art works can be recognized by the elites, as long as public art possesses the social and cultural attribute of ＂eliminating elite＂ and serves all members of society, it is not elite art but popular art. This is an objective fact that has been continuously proven by the development of public art.
