摘　　要：为更好地落实国务院和教育部有关文件精神,指导和规范专业有序建设,引导和助力专业健康发展,参考"十二五"期间教育部职业院校外语类专业教学指导委员会有关英语类高职高专毕业生社会需求与培养质量年度报告,从专业名称确立与专业方向选定、中高本衔接构架与专业核心课程设置、就业岗位群定位与职业资格证书遴选、专业实践教学要求与顶岗实习标准制定等方面对高等职业学校旅游英语专业新修目录予以解读,以期切实提高专业人才培养质量。In order to better implement the spirit of the related documents released by the State Council and the Ministryof Education in China, and to guide and regulate the development of Major of Tourism English （MTE） at highervocational level, this paper, with reference to MyCOS annual report about higher vocational education in English Majors,is mainly devoted to give explanatory notes on definition and content of MTE, link-up system between secondary andhigher education and core courses, job orientations and professional qualification certificates, practice and internshipmanagement, which all play an important role in improving the quality of higher vocational education.
