摘　　要：一位王子被人施了魔法，每年只能说一个宇。如果他两年没有说话，第二年就能够说两个字，照此类推。一天，他爱上了一位漂亮的姑娘。为了能叫对方一句“宝贝”，他连续两年没有说话。但是，彼时他又想告诉对方他爱她，于是他又等了三年。在这五年即将过完的时候，他又想让对方嫁给他，于是他就又等了四年。A prince was put under a spell so that he could speak only one word each year. If he didn＇t speak for two years, the following year he could speak two words and so on.One day, he fell in love with a beautiful lady. Herefrained fromspeaking for two whole years so he could call her ＂my darling.＂ But then he wanted to tell her he loved her, so he waited for three more years. At the end of these five years, he wanted to ask her to marry him, so he waited another four years.
