摘　　要：英国人罗伯聃1843年编撰的《华英通用杂话·上卷》是中国迄今所发现的第一部由外国人编写的流传广泛的"中国式英语"教材。该书模仿了早期"广东英语"教材"汉字记音"的编撰方法,采用官话标记英语读音,并在编写体例、教材内容、教学方法等方面有所创新,对我国早期英语教育及英语教材编写产生了深远的影响。In 1843, Robert Thorn, an English native speaker, complied and published Chinese and English Vocabulary Part I, which was widely spread at home and abroad and renowned as the first Chinglish textbook by the English native speaker. In compiling the textbook, Robert Thom emulated Chinese phonetic- transliteration to transcribe English phonemes. This textbook not only made innovations on the compilation, the teaching contents as well as teaching approach of English textbooks, but also exerted great influence on English education in early modern China.
